Want to start a UBFM in your city? It all begins with compassion.

UBFM began with a simple desire to show love and kindness within a community. There was no plan to start a nonprofit, build a brand, or launch a website. It started with one person choosing to show compassion to his neighbors—and when others saw that compassion in action, they wanted to join in. Love and kindness are contagious; when people witness them, joy follows, and joy draws people in.

If you feel called to spread love and kindness in your own community, it’s easier than you might think. Make some food—burritos are simple to prepare and easy to carry—pack them in a bag, hop on your bike, and hand them out. You don’t need a formal organization, a tax ID, or a team of volunteers. Anyone can serve anywhere there are people in need.

If you are interested in establishing a nonprofit under the UBFM name, we would be honored to guide you. We’ve learned valuable lessons, shortcuts, and administrative tips along the way, and we’re happy to share them.

And if you don’t want to create a nonprofit but still feel inspired to begin a UBFM-style ministry in your area, we’d love to connect with you, too. The stories that emerge from these simple interactions are priceless—they deepen compassion, spark spiritual growth, and remind us all of the beauty found in community. We would be grateful to hear the stories you create.
